The machine has 5500 miles on it with great compression and it runs like a champ. After ive been on the trails with it for a while and I come to a stop the machine will idle at 3000-3500 rpms..however the normal idle for instance when you start it is about 2000.I looked in the 2000 polaris performance manual and it says the following with 24-40 gearing: at 7750 rpms -99.9; at 8000rpms- 103.1; at 8250- 106.3 and thats at 1:1 shift out (nearly Ideal).
